The Clifton Arts Center is planning exhibits for years 2025-2030.
The Clifton Arts Center provides approximately 1800 square feet of modern well-lit and upgraded HVAC gallery exhibit space on the grounds of the Clifton Municipal Complex.
Members of the Advisory Board of Trustees and the professional city staff of the Arts Center review submissions for exhibit.
In order for submissions to be considered they must be presented and prepared in their entirety at the time of application. Applications should consist of:
Art groups or collective artists whether local, national or international are encouraged to apply. Various art mediums are accepted. For reference of past exhibits click here.
Submissions will be considered on their artistic merit. Please, be aware that the Clifton Arts Center is a municipally funded exhibit space and reserves the right to exclude from exhibit works deemed inappropriate due to their content or subject matter.

It is also strongly advised to mail your letter /proposal and materials that include jpegs of works for review to the Director at the Clifton Arts Center, City of Clifton, 900 Clifton Avenue, Clifton, NJ 07013. Submissions are on a rolling basis.
The Clifton Arts Center (CAC) is planning art/arts classes, workshops, and lecture programs for the years 2024-2030 for all ages groups- toddlers to senior citizens.
CAC welcomes proposals for art or related discipline classes, camps, workshops, and/or lecture programs on a rolling basis. The Clifton Arts Center is seeking artists/educators to enhance and expand our programming for all age groups - children through adults in a wide variety of mediums from current digital art to traditional drawing, painting, and sculpture etc.to other related areas.
A degree in the art/s or teaching, previous teaching experience and experience working with a variety of audiences and students in camp or classroom settings are preferred.

In addition to your proposal, you can submit a cover letter stating the intent of your submission; Resume and/or CV, program proposal, Letter of Support, Fee Structure, specify what mediums you teach; indicate age range you are able to teach; years of teaching experience and your time availability. Your submission should be of professional quality.
Should your submission be of interest to the Clifton Arts Center following its review, the Clifton Arts Center Director will contact you directly. Submissions are by email or if preferred you can bring them in person in a bound/hard-copy format.

The Clifton Arts Center is planning a “Clifton Quarantine Station” exhibit for November- December of 2024. This will be a comprehensive historical representation of the United States Animal Quarantine Station situated in Clifton, focusing on the period from 1900 to 1979 when the barns housed exotic birds, prized cows, racehorses, elephants, giraffes, musk oxen, camels and more!
This exhibit will delve into specific historic themes surrounding the development and operations of animal inspections during this period. It will also present the stringent standards established by the United States Department of Agriculture to safeguard the nation's livestock and poultry from foreign diseases.
For this specific exhibit, 3D sculptures of animals are needed. In particular, 3ft and above; life size is also appropriate. Sculptures of animals can be made of any type of medium – realistic or representational. Some examples of materials used can be paper mâché, wood, bronze, aluminum, marble, etc.
